The Mind: An Enemy or a True Friend?

Until now, we have seen how the mind - with its constant scripts from the past and the future - has ignored the body and done it grievous harm.
But the mind can also be the key to restoring the body to health.
When it is in a real communicative relationship with the body, our mind is our true friend.
When they are working together, the body feels and gives information and the mind analyses and finds solutions.

When the body and the mind interact like a couple in a real relationship, the mind will naturally try to help the body.
Whereas before, the mind was the enemy, now it is a true friend because it's asking the body how it feels and what it wants.
Once the mind and body are able to interact like that with true awareness and communication, then they are on the road to establishing a powerful potential toward rehabilitating and healing the body.

Today, I am so honoured to have worked with a young client whose mind and body are being misaligned due to an accident.
Though in pain, the boys' will to live and to have fun again brought delight to my heart.
His challenging situation has once again proved the equal importance of the mind and the body.
It’s a marriage between form and function.
Because
If the body tells us, “I feel heavy,” the mind can tell it, “Lighter, lighter” – and all of a sudden we walk in a lighter manner.
Or
If the body is stuck in a certain situation, the mind can analyse what’s going on, explain to the body that it’s behaving according to a past script, and say “We don’t need it anymore.”
