Sometimes, after years of trying to be what everyone else needed — the strong one, the good one, the one who holds it all together — you realise you’ve lost sight of you.

Trauma can do that; it teaches you to survive by shape-shifting into who the world wants you to be.

But there comes a point when you have to stop and ask,

“Who am I?”

And when that question rises, don’t run from it.

Sit with it.

Because you can’t be right for anyone else if you’ve never been right for yourself.

Choosing yourself isn’t selfish — it’s sacred.

It’s the moment you finally whisper,

“I’ve got to be me.”

💫 If this speaks to you, take a quiet moment today to ask yourself who you truly are — and promise to honour that.

Follow for more reflections on healing, wholeness, and coming home to yourself.
